Trend of Coronavirus Disease Research during the Period from 2010 to 2019

Coronavirus disease has appeared as one of the most devastating global epidemics in the 21st century. The aim of the present study is to display the progress of research activities examined on the field during last decade. The work widely covered the trend of entire coronavirus disease research field of PubMed Central Database. The Database was used to collect the articles related to coronavirus disease published from 2010 to 2019. VOSviewer v. 1.6.15 and MS Excel were used for bibliometric analysis. Total 3539 documents were collected, in which United States of America and China contributed maximum papers and National Institute of Health, USA was the
highest contributor. Among journals, the ‘Viruses’ contributed the most and maximum number of articles were written in 2019. International collaboration is the only solution to strengthen research progress and gain success. Development of suitable vaccines and drugs are the further research directions.
