Abstract

The study is about the perception of the academic community towards the use of Plagiarism Detection Software (PDS) and research tools. The study aims to understand the opinion of the academic community, their satisfaction level, and issues encountered while interpreting the originality reports generated by the software. The questionnaire method is adopted to collect data for the study. The findings revealed the perception of the academic community towards PDS, status in foreign universities, various PDS used in   nstitutions, and respondents perception of using reference management software (RMS) to avoid plagiarism. The present study is beneficial for the stakeholders and library professionals to have an overview of the attitude of the academic community towards the use of PDS and research tools.
