A survey of more than 5,000 people was used to determine the relative value of using electronic information resources in Ranchi University's Central Library. For this random sampling technique, a sample of 180 library users was accepted, including students, PhDs, staff, and researchers from Ranchi University. 180 opinions were acquired and taken into consideration for the study's validity through the use of a predetermined questionnaire that was delivered in order to collect primary data for the study. The findings show that while the majority of students are aware of using electronic information resources, they are not aware of the collections of these resources in libraries, and as a result, they do not use them. The channels of awareness are low because
most students say they can’t do it because they do not know. For the few who were using, their reasons for using were: relevant and sufficient materials and assistance from professional staff. The major reasons for not using were unawareness and incompetency. It was therefore recommended that the librarian and library staff of Ranchi University should create awareness that would encourage the utilization of electronic information resources.
