Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the status of the e-PG Pathshala of online content modules in the Library and Information Science (LIS) subject. It consists of all the uploaded modules, subject coordinator, paper coordinators, contributors and reviewers in the LIS field. For the completion of this study, a counting and frequency-based method of data collection and analysis was used in the scientometrics. Additional statistical analysis (Pearson’s Correlation test) shows that a strong positive correlation was observed between the variables paper coordinator, content writer and content reviewer (p =0.264, p=<.001) using SPSS software. The study found that K S Raghavan, SP Sood, Jagdish Arora, I V Malhan, Arvind K Sharma and Anubhuti Yadav have highly contributed to the modules. Renu Arora (83), Usha Mujoo Munshi (58), and MP Satija (54) have made the most prolific contributions to the LIS field. It has representatives mostly from government organizations like research institutes, central and state universities. This study is an unique one because it presents the online content which is available in the video and text format developed by the eminent expert faculty team in the LIS field.
