Abstract

This study aims to explore authorship pattern and research collaboration in the field of coastal agriculture based on a sample of 3429 journal articles and 1361 books citations included 288 articles of Indian society of Coastal Agricultural Research during 2012-2021. It
shows that the agricultural scientists mainly used journal articles (63.371%) for collecting the required information. The studies reveals that out of 3429 references cited, 519 (15.136%) are single authored articles and 2910 (84.864%) are multi-authored articles. Team research is increasing in the field of agriculture. Two authored (25.87%) are the highest in the cited journals followed by three authored (22.72%), single authored (15.14%) and four authored (14.93%) papers. The degree of collaboration and Collaborative Coefficient was found to be 0.85 and 0.57.
