This research has compared popular online learning platforms' security, privacy, and other features. Today, most institutes use E-learning tools to enhance teaching and learning, webinars and other events. Libraries employ E-learning technologies for imparting training, orientation programme and also promoting their services. All online learning platforms and tools differ in capabilities and features. Thus, it is difficult to choose the best. This extensive study included analytical and questionnaire methods. Indian higher educational institutions (HEI) students were surveyed using the QuestionPro survey tool. This study examined Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco WebEx E-learning systems. This study has revealed that 78.04% of institutions currently or previously used the E-learning tool. The study also shows that MS Teams is the best platform among the basic versions of these E-learning tools because it contains essential features such as recording, cloud storage and maximum number of participants. In the commercial edition, each instrument competes owing to its unique qualities. The Cisco WebEx premium edition is best for big groups because of its customizable participant limitations and cloud storage. Zoom and Google Meet are excellent for small participants.
